Scope the catalog around identification
An initial Viflux parts experience can connect a prepared product view, part labels and the applicable source information. A complete spare-parts ordering system also needs catalog governance, compatibility rules, inventory, pricing and commerce integrations. Confirm those requirements separately instead of assuming a visual catalog provides them.
Define who uses the catalog
A customer needs plain-language labels and a low-friction request. A dealer may need several model variants and a fast lookup. A technician needs service context. An internal parts team needs official references and change control. Test each role separately instead of assuming one interface solves every job.
Check your source-data fit
List what you actually have: PDF diagrams, photos, CAD, bills of materials, spreadsheets and approved replacement references. Ask vendors to demonstrate your source files. A CAD-first process may be suitable when engineering assets are complete; a diagram-led pilot can be more practical when support owns only PDFs.
