Follow each step carefully.
Unscrew the two pentalobe screws located at the phone's lower edge.
Warm the phone's bottom edge with a heat source to loosen the adhesive.
Attach a suction cup near the bottom and lift to form a gap between screen and case.
Slide a thin pick into the gap to begin separating the adhesive.
Run the pick along the left and right edges without inserting deeply.
Lift the screen slightly and slide the pick across the top edge adhesive.
Swing the screen open from the left side, resting it propped up.
Unscrew the battery connector bracket screws and lift off the cover.
Pry up and disconnect the battery cable from the logic board.
Unscrew and remove the logic board cover bracket.
Disconnect the OLED, sensor, and digitizer cables from the logic board.
Lift and remove the entire display assembly from the phone.
Unscrew and take off the lower battery connector cover.
Pry up the lower battery flex cable from its socket.
Unscrew and lift out the Taptic Engine after disconnecting its cable.
Unscrew and remove the bracket securing the Lightning flex cable.
Pry up and disconnect both Lightning flex cable connectors.
Slowly pull each adhesive tab to release the battery from the case.
