Follow each step carefully.
Eject and take out the SIM card tray using a SIM eject tool or paperclip.
Apply heat to the screen's right edge for one minute to loosen adhesive.
Attach a suction cup near the heated edge and gently lift to create a gap.
Slide an opening pick into the gap beneath the screen at a shallow angle.
Slide the pick along the right side to slice through the adhesive layer.
Insert picks to cut adhesive along the bottom and left edges of the screen.
Use an opening pick to separate adhesive along the top edge carefully.
Lift the screen from the right side and swing it open like a book.
Rotate the screen over and rest it face down without stressing cables.
Unscrew and lift off the bracket covering the display connector.
Pry up and detach the screen's flex cable using a spudger.
Carefully lift and remove the screen from the phone frame.
Remove all screws securing the midframe using a Torx screwdriver.
Insert an opening pick between midframe and back cover to release clips.
Lift and detach the back cover from the midframe gently.
Pry up the battery connector from the motherboard with a spudger.
Disconnect fingerprint sensor and button cables from the motherboard.
Peel up adhesive tabs and slowly pull to release the battery from frame.
