Follow each step carefully.
Unscrew the two pentalobe screws at the phone's bottom edge.
Warm the lower edge with a heat source to loosen display adhesive.
Attach a suction cup near the bottom and gently lift to form a gap.
Slide a plastic pick into the gap to start separating the display adhesive.
Run the pick along the left and right edges, staying shallow to avoid damage.
Lift the display slightly and slide the pick along the top edge to free adhesive.
Swing the display open from the left side, keeping cables connected.
Unscrew the battery connector cover screws and remove the bracket.
Pry up the battery connector to disconnect it from the logic board.
Unscrew and lift off the logic board cover bracket.
Detach the OLED, front sensor, and digitizer connectors carefully.
Lift the display assembly away from the rear case.
Unscrew and remove the lower battery connector cover.
Pry up the lower battery flex cable from its socket.
Unscrew and lift out the Taptic Engine after disconnecting its cable.
Unscrew and remove the bracket securing the Lightning flex cable.
Pry up both Lightning flex cable connectors from the logic board.
Slowly pull each adhesive tab from the battery edges to release it.
