Follow each step carefully.
Press and hold the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide to power off.
Use a Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the screws securing the back cover. Carefully lift the cover off.
Use a plastic spudger to gently pry up the battery connector from the motherboard.
Identify the Taptic Engine, which is typically located near the bottom of the device.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the Taptic Engine in place.
Gently lift the Taptic Engine connector off the motherboard using a plastic spudger.
Carefully lift the Taptic Engine out of the enclosure.
