Follow each step carefully.
Attach the vacuum pump to the service port of the outdoor unit.
Turn on the vacuum pump and allow it to run for at least 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, close the service valve on the outdoor unit.
Allow the system to sit for 10 minutes to check for pressure drop.
Inspect the connections for any signs of gas leakage.
